Persian Feast

This food is so exciting! It is what I would choose to eat if I was getting married. Full of colour, flavour and freshness; spicy and herby but not too fiery, different but everyone seems to love it! It works particularly well served in a buffet style or banqueting style (ie in the middle of the table to share)

Salt and pepper squid with garlic, lemon and mustard dip

Cod fritters with spring onion, fresh herbs, lime, spices

Lamb kefte

Falafels with spiced carrot topping

Mains:

Slow cooked perfumed shoulder of lamb, garlic, cumin, cinnamon, turmeric and za’atar

served on a bed of giant couscous with harissa

(for vegetarians filo parcel with spinach, feta, roasted butternut squash, pine nuts, za’atar)

Ras el hanout chicken, roasted root vegetables, walnuts and rocket

(for vegetarians Ras el hanout roasted root vegetables, walnuts, goat’s cheese and rocket)

Cacik (yoghurt, cucumber, dill, garlic and olive oil)

Carmargue rice salad, roast Mediterranean vegetables, almonds, orange, dried cranberries, honey and fresh herbs

Aubergine chermoula: lightly spiced, tomatoes, sultanas, fresh coriander

Leafy salad, fig, apple, fennel, feta, pomegranate seeds and rose petals

Olive bread, Middle Eastern spiced focaccia, wraps
